A few wedding pics

Let’s see if I can post some pics before this medicine kicks in.
Friday, the bridesmaids and I went to lunch together, and then to Paint-a-Piece! It was a lot of fun! (Only Melissa couldn’t be there, she was driving in from St Louis to be there that night)

Cath painted a doggie bowl for Indy for our new place!

Ash painted a piggie bank!

Rachel made a vase for me & Chase!

Kristie made a vase, too!

Nana made a plate for me & Chase 🙂

The whole gang!
(I made a mug for my dad’s birthday)

I love this pic of me & Ash!

The girls, right before the rehearsal

Rehearsing LOL

At the dinner… everyone inside for a video presentation LOL – Chase made an amazing video for me, it was so, so sweet.

And now for a few more wedding/reception pics – most of these are from one of Chase’s groomsmen, Jeff, and a few from my cousin Devon and my friend Kristie.

Good lookin’ dudes…

After the ceremony… we had some snacky food set up in the patio area outside the reception room – here it is, I never got to see it! LOL

Post-ceremony – the ceremony stuff loaded up into a truck to be sent back to our house!

The arbor there is the one my dad and Chase built. For now it’s going to decorate my parents backyard until we get our own place.

My grandparents! My grandmothers looked so beautiful and my granddads were so dapper!

Later in the night – ok there’s a story to this.
The night before the rehearsal (Thursday night) there was some completely silly drama that shouldn’t have bothered me, everybody kept telling me they would take care of it, but it got to me and really upset me, and late that night I called Chase (who was at his bachelor party) and told him what was going on, and started crying over it (I was already completely stressed out in the first place, and the drama was the straw that broke the camel’s back) and he asked if i wanted to talk to my dad – so I did, so I was crying on the phone to dad and I think I kinda-of upset him, he promised he would absolutely take care of it, for me not to worry about it at all, and get some sleep.
Well after the bachelor party, dad got home around 2 in the morning – and stayed up until 5/5:30 making something for me and Chase, something to cheer me up. The next morning he gave it to me – he had taught himself to play Beauty & the Beast on his guitar, and recorded, and it’s absolutely beautiful. I may put it online somewhere, but it made me cry and cry because it was seriously the best gift I’ve ever been given, not just for the wedding but for anything, ever.
So I brought it with me and gave it to the DJ to play as a special extra dance for me & Chase, and mom and dad came out and danced to it, too.
I have the best dad, ever.

Cutting the cake!
(as an aside, we were both a little disappointed with the cake. We gave her a picture of basically exactly what we wanted and she didn’t really follow it – it looked rushed. But! It tasted good and that’s all I heard about it was how good it tasted, so oh well)

The Boutonniere toss – we had a little confusion with it because our Photographer didn’t know we were doing it a bit differently LOL… but we got it together, and I took Chase’s boutonniere off and his tossed it over his shoulder to the guys.

The garter toss – I pulled a sock garter off Chase and flicked it to the girls LMAO – the flower girl caught it, but not until after Cath fell trying to get to it LOL

Chase got told by my male family members that now that he is part of the family, anytime Dancing Queen comes on, he gets to join my uncles and cousins dancing to it LOL
I have a weird family, but it’s awesome LOL

I’ve written about our getaway car before – the car is from A Hard Day’s Night – this company bought it, repainted it and uses it for weddings. The owner of the company – Father Ken – was our driver and he was SO sweet! The money you pay to rent the car – they pay for the gas, and everything else goes to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. It was absolutely one of the hight-lights of the night, riding through downtown Memphis, the windows down, drinking sparkling cider in our awesome car! 😀

Wow, I took my pill like an hour and a half ago now, and I’m still awake, let’s see how long this lasts LOL

the first picture was rather unfortunate to turn to after someone on IRC had just asked the channel ‘how do I clean sperm from the keyboard?’ Such unfortunate juxtapositions!

    Leia

Are you doing battle damage to the Leia helmet? If so, how did/will you accomplish it? I had trouble with that on the planter-based helmet and haven’t even started putting my donut kit together yet. BTW, most people from Sunrider Base used Model Master Medium Green paint for the helmet. I hope what you used is close to that. But what did you use for the red/yellow symbol?

I got a Boushh helmet, too, yesterday, well, an interchangeable head for the Sideshow figure, but yours is much better. Will yours have the 1138 on the side?
